United States

The United States is home to thousands of African immigrants, refugees, and asylees and we believe that we can play a part in ensuring that as these families transition from life in Africa to a new home in America, they have access to their basic human rights and an understanding of the American culture. ALARM US works alongside African immigrants, refugees, and asylees in the United States as they go through their transitional process. These families receive practical, social, and emotional support as they are given the proper tools to navigate their new life in America. Many of these families are unaware of the cultural differences that exist in America and as they receive support from ALARM, they are trained in the basics, including housing, English classes, paperwork, job security, the law, healthcare, and many other basic life skills.
