The government in Uganda announced that schools could safely reopen on November 1st. The Pader Technical School reopened on November 4th and 22 students have returned back to the school. More students are expected to return in the coming weeks, but some may be unable to return because of the economic hardship that they faced during the national lockdown and COVID-19. Even when the school was closed, the staff continued to keep active in their work through networking, proposal writing, coordinating, advertising the institute, planning, and strategizing. We are grateful that the school has re-opened and we pray that the students and activities will continue to resume. The Pader Technical School is in need of funding for maintenance of the school van, construction of a girls’ dormitory, and administrative support.
