South Sudan: Women’s Leadership Conference

South Sudan: Women’s Leadership Conference

In February, ALARM South Sudan held a Women’s Leadership Conference for 60 participants. This conference is an annual event that brings women together to build their capacity on home management and other family care matters. During this conference, women were trained in village savings and credit schemes, how to manage business matters at home, and how to establish family altars. In their time together, 5 women committed to paving the way in the village savings and credit scheme which will be used to provide cash to the community for business ventures. All of the participants agreed to start home-based businesses as a way of generating income. In this conference, 35 women gave their lives to Jesus! Praise God for a conference that unites women in faith and allows them to come together to strategically discuss business matters.
