South Sudan: Children’s Conference

February 16th–18th (2021)

60 children (between the ages of 3 and 16) attended the Children’s Conference in February. Because of the conflicts that take place in South Sudan, many children are left orphaned and responsible for caring for themselves. These children oftentimes get married early, are fatigued, and get involved with drugs and other harmful behaviors. The number of school dropouts is alarming in the local communities and there is an urgent need for counseling and support. This conference trained these children in wisdom, respect, obedience, and the Gospel. Because of this conference, the children left excited, encouraged, and hopeful that they can trust God throughout their lives.
