Rwanda: The Institute of Women for Excellence – 1st Term

Rwanda: The Institute of Women for Excellence – 1st Term

The Institute of Women for Excellence (IWE) secondary school for girls started up this month and 154 girls are enrolled for the school year! As the staff decided to move forward in the school year, they took a major step of faith in trusting God as the funds for the school year are not yet provided for. 25% of the students are either orphaned, from a single parent home, or live in extreme poverty and need help paying their school fees. As you can imagine, it is critical for these girls to receive an education and we have seen that as the girls complete secondary school, they often times continue their education in college which ultimately increases their chances at finding a stable job. 320 girls have graduated from the IWE school and 120 have gone on to college after graduating!
