DR Congo: The Women’s Leadership Training Institute Session 3

The Women’s Leadership Training Institute (WLTI) is a 3-year program that exists to train and empower key women leaders in Biblical theology, leadership, ministry, and life knowledge and skills for Christian service in their churches and communities. As these women leaders are trained, they are equipped to become agents and models of servant leadership, peacebuilding, justice, reconciliation, and community transformation.

On August 15th-21st, ALARM DR Congo, in partnership with Irving Bible Church (IBC), held the 3rd session of the WLTI program for the current class of 30 participants in Goma town. As the women came together for the week, they focused their time and attention on trauma healing class times. During one of these class times, a panel was held and the DR Congo Country Director, Marie-Jeanne, had the opportunity to share her experience and knowledge in forgiveness and reconciliation. This program is a strategic program that gives women leaders a space to heal, grow, and develop their leadership skills.
