In November, ALARM held the Police Senior Command and Staff College Training which equipped 45 senior police officers with skills in servant leadership and having an outward mindset as they keep law and order in the country. This training was instrumental in empowering these leaders and was assisted by the ALARM staff in Uganda and facilitated by the Conscious Coalition team from the US via zoom. Since 2011, ALARM Uganda has engaged with empowering the Uganda Police. Over the years, ALARM has witnessed brutality, especially in relation to election seasons, and it was because of this that ALARM was inspired to partner with the police to train officers on servant leadership, restorative justice, conflict resolution, and trauma healing. After working with ALARM in building this curriculum, the police now train all new entrants with the ALARM module. The leadership team at the Uganda Police Senior Command and Staff College, the highest institution for training officers in Uganda, dedicated an award to ALARM for their impact on the police and community. This award is a high achievement that resembles the strong partnership and impact that ALARM has had within Uganda.
