Pader Technical School
Pader Technical School provides healing and hope by giving the most desperate adolescents of Northern Uganda vocational skills that allow them to become productive self-sustaining citizens. In addition, each student receives the spiritual mentoring, trauma healing, and life skills required to recover from the devastation and loss they have experienced.
- 22 years of unthinkable devastation in Uganda due to civil war, pandemics, poverty, and the denial of many basic human rights.
- Many adolescents under the age of 25 were often denied a childhood, education, or any sense of family due to constant displacement or being abducted and trained as soldiers.
- As part of their involvement in the atrocities of war, many adolescents not only experience rejection, but also deal with their own brokenness, including guilt, trauma and grief
- District of Pader only has two secondary schools and no vocational schools. The closest programs that offer these services are hours away and typically charge tuition.
