Fraudulent Activities Carried Out Under the ALARM Name

This is to inform all our friends and partners that there are some people in Kenya conducting fraudulent activities and using ALARM’s name. One such person has been identified as Margaret Wahito Maina who claims to be part of “African Leadership and Reconciliation Ministries” as well as “Global Education Partnership.” This person, together with others, is attempting to secure funds for student sponsorships. According to our staff in Kenya, this group of people have already solicited money from unsuspecting victims – promising them micro-finance loans. These activities have been reported to the Kenyan police and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
