The Ambassadors of Peace choir was formed as one of ALARM-Congo’s Youth Advocacy Programs. The young men and women in the choir represent hundreds of youth in Congo whose future is at stake. Many have had little formal education and have limited skills, having had to drop out of school due to war, poverty and HIV/AIDS. ALARM’s Youth Advocacy Programs help create new opportunities for these young people through evangelism, discipleship, vocational training, and community awareness.

The choir travels to different churches, social gatherings and communities spreading the message of Peace and calling for an end to conflict and violence. In this song the choir prays to the Prince of Peace, to being peace (Amani) to Congo; saying, “where does peace come from if not from You, Lord? Hear our cry from Congo and bring us Peace”. ALARM has been serving in Eastern Congo since 2001 teaching about Peace, Forgiveness and Reconciliation; training pastors and community leaders in leadership; ministering to broken families and communities and helping to bring healing to traumatized rape victims.
